Foundational Faith Community Nurse Preparatory Course 2016
Faith Community Nurses (FCN) focuses on the promotion of health within the context of the values, beliefs, practices, mission, and ministry of a faith community. Recognizing that health is more than the absence of disease, FCN provide wholistic care to empower individuals, families and congregation to achieve fullness of life. The course consists of online learning and three, 2-day face-to-face sessions. Participants must complete four online learning modules and attend all three, 2-day sessions to successfully complete the course. 40 contact hours will be provided upon successful completion of
Applicant Requirements: Must have an active, non-restricted license in the state in which they plan to practice as a Faith Community Nurse and RNs must have a minimum of 2 years experience post licensure.
Online Modules: Must be completed through Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing's Blackboard
Location of Face-to-Face: Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center, Norfolk, VA

Part I: January 22 and 23, 2016 (8 am - 5 pm)
Part II: February 19 and 20, 2016 (8 am - 5 pm)
Part III: March 18 and 19, 2016 (8 am - 5 pm)
