Spring 2025 Alumni Opportunities

New Student First Test Encouragement: January

This semester, BSMCON's new students are embarking on their academic journey and preparing to take their very first exam of the program, a moment that can feel both exciting and overwhelming. Reflecting on your own experiences, you might remember how nerve-wracking that first test can be. To help ease their anxieties and inspire confidence, we invite you to share your words of wisdom, encouragement, or advice. Simply use the form below to submit your message, and the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs will create a card to share with these students before their big day.

College Service Opportunities Exploration: February

The Office of Student & Alumni Affairs hears you loud and clear, alumni! As our team connects with more and more of our network one message remains consistent: you want opportunities to give back to the college by serving with us directly. Whether you are interested in serving on a campus committee or participating in alumni panels for new or prospective students, we hear your desire for more opportunities that get you connected to your alma mater in that way.

To ensure we have as many opportunities like that for you all as possible, the OSAA team is going to spend the month of February exploring what meaningful opportunities for the alumni community to connect may be hiding across campus. Our team will meet with each campus department and explore how we might be able to get you involved! We look forward to sharing the fruits of those conversations with our alumni community!

Ambassador-to-Ambassador Mixer: Thursday, March 27, 2025

Do you work in an interesting specialty and want to share more about it with the next generation? Maybe you work in a commonly sought after specialty and want to share more about it with students who might be considering it? Or, maybe, you work on a unit students commonly misunderstand and you want to set the record straight about why they should consider a career like yours! Our College Ambassadors consistently desire to learn more about the multiple different paths their nursing degree could take them down post-grad, and we know that you, our Alumni Ambassadors, have a wealth of knowledge to share from your lived experiences.

Join us for a new initiative, Ambassador-to-Ambassador, in which you, our Alumni Ambassadors, get a chance to get to know and share your knowledge and wisdom with our College Ambassadors: current students who are still determining the path to their first full-time nursing roles! Ambassador-to-Ambassador is an exclusive event open only to College Ambassadors and other student organization leaders in which you all will share your insights and experiences with students in a round-robin, speed-dating style event.

Lunches will be provided courtesy of Apple Spice Junction. When registering, you will make your selections for your classic meal within this form.
