Congratulations to Dr. Chris-Tenna Perkins, our dean of academic affairs, for being selected to join the Leadership Metro Richmond (LMR) Class of 2025!

Since 1980, LMR has developed, connected and empowered diverse leaders throughout the Greater Richmond area, inspiring them to tackle key regional challenges and pilot positive change in the community. 

This honor reflects Perkins' dedication to the community and her ongoing efforts to shape the next generation of nurses. Perkins, who joined BSMCON in 2002, has played a fundamental role in guiding the College through its transformation from a diploma school to a baccalaureate institution. 

Reflecting on her achievement, Perkins said, “This program represents a remarkable opportunity to expand my vision of community engagement to enrich the educational experience for our students and strengthen our commitment to serving the community.” We’re proud of you, Dr. Perkins!
