ACICS Accreditation UpdateAs previously stated, the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) announced June 15, 2016, its recommendation to deny continuing approval to the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), which provides accreditation to more than 200 colleges and universities nationwide, including Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing (BSMCON). On June 23, 2016, this recommendation was considered by the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI) which voted to deny continuing approval to ACICS to operate as an accrediting agency. |
